Personal Motto: Same tree, different season. Don’t give up in your hard season.

For the past nine years, Faith has been an integral part of the DK team, supporting projects from the pre-tender stage right through to final accounts. Throughout her time with the company, she has worked across a wide range of responsibilities, including quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender evaluations, contract administration, variation assessments, claims preparation and final account settlements.

Her role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor also involves liaising closely with consultants, contractors and clients to ensure projects progress smoothly and commercial matters are managed effectively. Over the years, Faith has developed extensive experience across different stages of the project lifecycle, helping clients navigate both technical and contractual challenges.

Faith’s journey into quantity surveying was inspired by those around her. Having grown up with family members working in the profession, she developed an early interest in the industry and was curious to experience the role for herself. That curiosity ultimately led her to a career she continues to enjoy and grow within today.

When asked about her proudest achievement, Faith reflects on completing her very first project as a Quantity Surveyor. While it may have been many years ago, it remains a significant milestone that marked the beginning of her professional journey and gave her confidence in her abilities.

Describing DK’s culture in three words, she chooses friendly, hardworking and efficient. These qualities have helped foster an environment where collaboration, learning and mutual support are part of everyday work.

Looking ahead, Faith is particularly interested in developing her AI and coding skills, recognising the growing influence of technology and its potential to enhance productivity and efficiency within the industry.

Outside of work, Faith enjoys spending quality time with her bunny, Bubbles. She also has a creative side, with scrapbooking and journaling among her favourite hobbies. A self-confessed stationery enthusiast, she enjoys collecting postcards, stickers and other keepsakes, often finding inspiration in the small details that others might overlook.

If she could instantly become an expert in any subject, her choice would be contracts, believing that a deeper understanding would be invaluable in navigating the many situations that arise throughout a project.

Her favourite comfort food is chicken rice, while Japan sits firmly at the top of her travel bucket list. One artist she could listen to endlessly is Casting Crowns, and when it is time to unwind after a busy week, nothing beats spending time with Bubbles and enjoying a slower pace of life.

Asked about her greatest superpower, Faith’s answer is refreshingly simple. She believes her strength lies in finding joy in life’s little moments, whether it is watching clouds drift by, admiring a beautiful sunset, or appreciating the small things that make each day meaningful.

One piece of advice has stayed with her throughout both her personal and professional life:

“Be professional in both your work and attitude, and do not take things personally.”

It is a mindset that reflects Faith’s calm, thoughtful approach to challenges and her commitment to continuous growth, both professionally and personally.
