Supporting the Enhancement of a Conserved Heritage Home

The Additions & Alterations (A&A) to the 2-storey conserved intermediate terrace house at 33 Niven Road involved sensitive conservation works and spatial enhancements to a historic property within a designated conservation area.

We were appointed as the Consultant Quantity Surveyor, providing quantity surveying, cost management, and contract administration services throughout the project. Through effective cost planning, commercial management, and project coordination, we supported the successful delivery of the conservation development.

Balancing Heritage Conservation and Modern Upgrades

The enhancement and extension of a conserved terrace house required careful management of specialized conservation guidelines, construction requirements, and commercial considerations. Maintaining cost certainty throughout the project was essential to ensure that financial objectives were achieved while strictly complying with Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) conservation standards.

Our service included:

Quantity surveying consultancy

Cost planning and budget management for conservation works

Cost estimation and detailed measurement reporting

Tender and procurement support

Contract administration

Variation assessment and valuation of specialized conservation works

Preserving Built Heritage Through Professional Consultancy

Through structured cost management and commercial oversight, we supported informed decision-making throughout the conservation and upgrade works. By monitoring costs, assessing changes, and providing professional quantity surveying advice, the team helped maintain financial control while safeguarding the property’s architectural character and supporting effective project delivery.
